1967 VW Bus Super Charger Install

This is a pretty long video about my experience installing a supercharger kit onto my 1967 Volkswagen Transporter. I am a professional athlete, but cars have always been one of my passions. I wanted to give my Bus more power, and in looking at options, from installing duel Webers to buying a turn-key engine online, I stumbled upon Kompressor Haus in the UK. This seemed interesting, and sounded ...

Forty three years later, if the wind’s blowin’, I’m going. Senior shredding, (the good kind).
Thanks for putting these videos together. So much fun to watch.

how to speed foil - put lines on the kite
I just stumbled upon this video and was amazed how the hero of my youth is still out there doing things only few men dare to do. What an incredible arm and grip strength he must have. I first got in contact with windsurfing when I was 6yrs old, in 1976, in Curaçao. Although I loved doing it till in my 40's whenever life allowed, I never became a wave surfer. It just seemed too scary to me😂. I stuck to my trusty slalom board (Mistral Screamer) and tried to go as fast as possible with the occasional jump when the big lake water got big enough swells. I'm in my 50's now and illness has taken most of any strength and stamina I had left. I will never windsurf again I guess, but I brings me great joy to see Robby still ripping it up out there on Maui.❤
the bossss
Thanks for sharing Robby!!, it's winter in Argentina, Cordoba, a mediterranean province with beautiful lakes, the weather when it normally blows, but it's been a couple of weeks since we've been in the water and it's quite cold, so I'm also in the home workshop doing maintenance on my motorcycle and I played your video for company, listening and looking out of the corner of my eye, very interesting work, congratulations and enjoy the ride!!!
Bonjour Robby 😃 Thanks for this feedback and your advice, simple to understand 🌺 Great images ☀️🌊💙 ... your jumps at the end of the video are superb, WAOUH 🔥 Aloha from both of us from (currently) Leucate 😎🤙🏼
Good advice. I just used one the other day and was blown how great the angle of attack was with my 8m. I found if Infelt like I was getting close to falling I could disengage even when I was falling, but definitely needed to be aware.
I happen to be an expert in wing foil crashing.
Great video, BUT that ankle leash!!!!!
Any clue what what's meant by lightwind? How much windspeed is necessary to get on foil with 3.5? PS: on my lake I barely get over 10kn😢
Hey there is another Time where you may like the Harness even without to much Power that you guys in Hawai do not experience 😂. It is wintertime riding with gloves. You can extend your cold sessions quite a bit with a harness.
Surprised you use an ankle leash. May be an old surfer's habit... I hate having the leash crowd the board and dragging behind the board... Love you Robby! We met so long ago in Tenerife, I was a young star stuck french windsurfer and you were super cool with me!
Many great tip👍
Excellent advice, thank you! Clearly lays out when a harness is a good idea, plus the cons. For me I like to ride quick but use a small wing and small foil so not in ‘race power’ mode. So I’ll stick to the simplicity of no harness and get a mild arm workout too hehehe
Legend
Really impressive no matter what age. Makes it look easy. Those are not just water rounded rocks either. That is new lava rock and it could tear you and your gear to shreds. I have done many watersports including windsurfing for many years and am looking into what it would cost to wingfoil. I just checked and that gear he is using new would run over five thousand dollars new. No wonder he is out there by himself if he is risking losing that gear to the surf and rocks. Honey it's cheap compared to a motorcycle or a jetski!!!
Thanks for the unrivaled Foil tutorials Robby 🤙
Any recommandation for kids Wing, board?
Wind foiling can be the answer to the catapult issue. I'm just freeride wind foiling but i don't hook in to harness line from 6.4 m2 or smaller. I hook in while board is on water then unhook at lift off if i hardly needed to pump or unhook before pumping to get on foil. So little pressure in sail that it doesn't take much effort to go unhooked.
This is a great video and explanation! One think I would add is that wetsuits and gloves can impact this decision greatly. We are up north in Washington State and wear 5/4s and gloves throughout the fall and winter which greatly increase the forearm exhaustion (especially if you are using non pre-curved gloves). I totally agree that in boardshorts it feels like you can ride all day but there are plenty of days in the winter where I would have a hard time riding for over 30 min without a harness. Even using a simple wing hook on a waist leash is enough to give your arms a break!
I use a "worker's" belt from Home Depot. Without cushion. And it is ok. I can't imagine who would need a windsurfing harness with steel hook. It is overkill and one can dent a board with it. A foldable plastic hook works the best. So the "toy harness" is perfect.
No wing foil at all please
The LGPBTQUIA Side of riding....
Wingfoiling as if kiting wasn’t silly enough.
Mahalo Robby, useful information as always.
Love using the harness on the wing! Essential to get the hook up high around the bottom of your sternum. I have tried lots of different set ups and higher up is the most balanced! I have a video on a really useful harness line with a magnetic quick release on my channel too
Great tips from the master himself 👍 Thank you Robby that you are giving so much for the sport over all the decades 🙏Never used a harness with wingfoiling before but your video inspired me to try out 😃Greetings from Germany and keep up the great videos 🙌
69+ Def Harness Single point vs Wide -point taken Thanks Robby
Harness all life long!😂
I have been getting up on my board from my stomach to my knees then up to my feet. My windsurfing harness is too big to do that technique. How do you get up to your feet. That part wasn’t in the video.
Yet again Robby talking practical sense, very useful.
Perfect advice for my plan to use a harness. Thanks Robby. 🙂
Such a comprehensive advice, thanks, Robbie. Very reasonable way of thinking about every level being a pro yourself. Love you boards and enjoy my Naish every time on the water. Surfy look gives it and extra edge on my lake :)
Robby, you are legeng, telling people to riding carefully at the end of topic harnessline, but doing masive jump at hookipa last 10 second of this edit 😂🤙
Thank you so much for your advise 😊. Patrick.
Excellent!! I pretty much live in my harness - wing belt - now, I’d walk a mile if I forgot it on a good day. 🤙
Great video and excellent advice and guidance Robbie. You are the master. Merci! (Greetings from Bretagne, France)

always harness, i like dakine adjustable harness lines
Harness anyday
Harness all the way
When I started windsurfing in 1973 in the East Bay, there were no harnesses. My forearms looked like Popeyes arms after an hour of sailing. There were NO storm sails. I would give ANYTHING to have windsurfed with a harness and a storm sail, but when the harnesses came out we all scratched our heads. What is that? Now? Give me a harness!!! 🙂 What YOU do is off the charts. Having my experience, I can't believe the amazing talent you have.
Dude he is Talking about Wingfoiling. Only beginners wear no harness whit windsurfing. Nobody is windsurfing whit out harness ses these Days.. Mahalo
@@windsurfingatmeerwijck I know. I can't explain myself well, but what you say is what I meant. -)
What awesome tips! Ty
I'm a beginning wing foiler, but your videos have helped me tremendously to get up on foil easily. The skateboard ollie analogy, putting emphasis on pumping the foil and also the wing helped me foil yesterday on a 6 wing when others couldnt on 8's. I was blown away how little wind it took to get up on foil even with my mast back in the track because I'm a beginner. Thank you!
I would just rigg down and get a smaller board and foil and go gliding on the high wind swells instead of windsurfing. Ha ha, windsurfers dont glide for long...
Just clocked 27.4 knots with my Chubanga 700 yesterday. Ready to go over 30 knots🎉🎉🎉
